In the video Useless Words (Instrumental) // Dave Thomas Junior, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and make fun of dumb Canadian content policies, the two morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The characters later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
