In the video Van driving through the Blender countryside, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a sketch which was shown on second city television for the show’s third season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s part is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by comic Dave Thomas. It was created originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh at network Canadian content policies, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
