In the video VegasNET TV – ‘Take Off Eh!’ Says Director Michael Masucci, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was born originally as a skit to both satisfy and makes jokes about legal Canadian content rules, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The two enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
