In the video Video Shows Man Assault Rick Moranis On NYC Street | NBC News NOW, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was included on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was featured on CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s part is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and mock legal Canadian content legislation, the siblings turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Actor Rick Moranis was attacked by an unknown assailant near New York City’s Central Park. Security video released by the NYPD shows the attack.

Nothing new under the sun for half of my heritage, shameful that black men tend to just randomly sucker punch people. Just doesn’t help the case of us being “oppressed” by huwhite folks. Love Rick Moranis, but this is so hilarious to me. The randomness, the fact that he's wearing an "I <3 NY" sweater, you couldn't make this up
this is obviously another example of the privelidged white man opressing this 'man' who was about his business, when this white man, this privelidged white man oppressed him by existing. It was disgraceful that this white man was not ashamed and holed up indoors somewhere for all the atrocities that he was not alive when happened, was not aware of, and has fought against through donations. This man should be rewarded for his contrabution to the cause, and we would like him to come and accept his award in person, at the rikers island penitentuary where i hope he is rewarded, severely, particularly by those in there for real injustice that this 'man' set back. Chris Rock said it best, that it is not black people he worries about, it is these people.
