Bob and Doug McKenzie in Vinyl Collection Various A + B (GG Allin – Danny Brown)
In the video Vinyl Collection Various A + B (GG Allin – Danny Brown), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s part is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although made originally as a skit to both fulfill and make fun of dumb Canadian content guidelines, the two morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The characters became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Various artists from A-B in my collection. Stay tuned for lots more to come. Enjoy!
