In the video VocalEye Almost Live #139 | Another Holiday Surprise!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a program which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s character is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as an idea to both fulfill and laugh about dumb Canadian content legislation, the characters turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
