In the video Waking up with Bill & Cindy 12/17/21, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of strange Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a sketch which was televised on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a skit to both satisfy and make fun of non sensical Canadian content statutes, the pair grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The two soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
