Bob is played by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as filler to both please and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content demands, the siblings transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
