Bob and Doug McKenzie in We Just Watched… Strange Brew

In the video We Just Watched… Strange Brew, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was created originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and laugh at non sensical Canadian content policies, the characters grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
