In the video welcome to the great white north ya hoser, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on CBC Television in . The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a skit to both please and laugh at silly Canadian content legislation, the brothers turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The characters soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
