Bob and Doug McKenzie in Whiplash & the Electric Fence! Strange Brew

In the video Whiplash & the Electric Fence! Strange Brew, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a program which was featured on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content policies, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The pair enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
