How thin-skinned you are Dr Phil. Couldn't you at least give the girl a chance to reply and simply tell her not to do that. I've never liked Dr Phil or rated him. If be hadn't been promoted by Oprah, I doubt he would have lasted very long in this game. Just the way he looks at the young girl and the long pause after she describes her position, is a well worn tactic to create discomfort in the subject and put them on the back foot. Little wonder then that the girl got defensive. He literally provoked her reaction
This was horrible and is proof that Dr. Phil is not an actual therapist. At least he didn't send her to some camp to be abused by the staff, like he did other young women who went on there.
That was so weird. A young woman being laughed at in front of an audience has a sincere reaction and is told she's too messy? She's there for help. That was not the appropriate response from Dr. Phil. I don't know the context of the rest of it, but that was bizarre. She wasn't expressing anything manipulative or dramatic, it hurts to be laughed at for your deepest feelings.
Poor girl. You humiliated her when she was being respectful. She hurt your little feelings? Pathetic.

They become a spectacle by being self-centered and being in denial u til they give in and acknowledge they need help. Inviting the ridicule knowingly is the point where they’re too comfortable with the situation to be helped and Phil knew it.

Probably the first time someone ever stopped her and did not get manipulated by her. Some types of people have no results from any kind of therapy or intervention. Like psychopaths.
