The Kinks – Father Christmas ( REACTION), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian brothers who can been seen in “Great White North”, a skit which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and make fun of annoying Canadian content demands, the two turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
