In the video Wizard’s Log 695: Crystal Christmas Court, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of odd Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a show which was included on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob McKenzie is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as an idea to both fulfill and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content laws, the pair turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The pair enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
