  1. I have severe ptsd it destroyed my family and my mother is dead cause of it. And what dr Phill said in the end about you don’t treat it once or twice but continue to until you find what works is a joke. That’s rich person talk does he not know that poor ppl don’t get the medical care that rich ppl get we are just left to suffer and die.

  2. As much as I appreciate the discussion-I have had PTSD for 20 years-you do not "snap" out of it in two minutes. It can take the whole day, or DAYS even… if a flashback becomes involved, it is like being instantly thrust into another reality– and days and nights of hypervigilance follow, you are TERRIFIED of ever "slipping" away again…..this is no joke, and I feel like this is actually demeaning TRUE PTSD, and the people who are truly suffering. I am sure she has some anxiety, but PTSD is a different ballgame. She needs thereapy, yes, for her need to always be seeking attention using frightful, extreme and false behavior.

  3. I have convulsing fainting spells (mini seizures) bc of ptsd and it’s really scary when you body just shuts down like that, before I was diagnosed I had an episode with my friends and they thought I was dying. PTSD needs to be talked about more it’s still really only associated with veterans and it affects soooo many more people

  4. notice how she told her "its okay, you're here."
ptsd takes you back to that moment and the best way to get out of it is to try and focus on your surroundings so you understand you arent there anymore. personally i do what my therapist suggested with is to count 5 things i can see, 4 things i can smell, 3 things i can touch, 2 things i can hear, and one thing i can taste. or honestly anything in any order really

  5. My PTSD is panic attacks. I broke my neck in a car wreck, so when I am driving on the interstate, I get super paranoid of other drivers. I'll grip the steering wheel so tight, I feel like I am crushing it. Lol I also get so tense and nervous that I pour sweat.
