Bob and Doug McKenzie in WPL Pub Trivia Night

In the video WPL Pub Trivia Night, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. Despite created originally as fluff to both fulfill and mock annoying Canadian content laws, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
