Bob and Doug McKenzie in You Don’t Know

In the video You Don’t Know, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s character is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as a sketch to both please and laugh about stupid Canadian content statutes, the siblings morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
