Bob and Doug McKenzie in Zweng UP Trip Part 3

In the video Zweng UP Trip Part 3, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s part is played by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as a joke to both please and make fun of non sensical Canadian content legislation, the characters transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The characters soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
