Bob is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a skit to both please and makes jokes about silly Canadian content laws, the duo grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The pair later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
