In the video All I Want For Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a skit which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it streamed by CBC Television in the eighties. Bob is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a skit to both please and makes jokes about silly Canadian content laws, the duo grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The pair later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
