In the video Dave Thomas Junior – Silence, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s part is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as an idea to both fulfill and laugh at network Canadian content policies, the brothers turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
